Industries represented at the job fair will include retail, hospitality, healthcare, and education. Employers who can offer positions appropriate for students are encouraged to register.
Companies slated for attendance include LIFE Coordinated - Benton Place, Cornerstone of Hope, and Genova Pipe.
Shawnee Community College said it has worked with local employers to increase participation in this year's event. More than 40 businesses are scheduled to attend. The event is open to the public.
Local Prospect League baseball team the Thrillville Thrillbillies will host a series of job fairs to hire seasonal employees for its upcoming season. Available positions include concessions, suite servers, bartenders for ages 21 and up, ushers/ticket scanners, Thrillettes for ages 17 and up, sanitation crew, and team mascot.
