PADUCAH — The Paducah Police Department arrested a Louisville man Friday morning in connection with a July report of a vehicle stolen from a car dealership in Lexington.
According to the department, the Flock system alerted police to a possible stolen vehicle Friday morning in the area of Alben Barkley Drive in Paducah. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of a local business.
Officers identified Tyrone L. Pearson, 44, of Louisville, as the driver. The investigation found that the vehicle had been rented in early July from a dealership in Lexington. The vehicle was reportedly not returned, and the dealership reported it stolen.
According to officers, Pearson was argumentative, did not comply with their commands during the traffic stop, and approached law enforcement in a threatening manner. Officers used a taser to gain control and arrest him.
Pearson was charged with receiving stolen property over $10,000, disorderly conduct second degree, menacing, and resisting arrest. He was taken to McCracken County Jail.
