CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — On September 11, at approximately 5:45 p.m., officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the 1100-Block of N. Sprigg Street in reference to shots fired.
According to the department, officers arrived on the scene and learned one person had received a gunshot wound to her leg — the victim was then transported to an area hospital for treatment.
During the course of the investigation, officers were able to locate evidence that a shooting took place on Village Drive.
According to the Cape Girardeau Police Department, no suspect has been taken into custody at this time.
