PADUCAH — The Purchase Area Walk to End Alzheimer's event will change locations due to Saturday's predicted weather conditions, organizers announced Thursday.
According to the Alzheimer's Association, the Walk to End Alzheimer's will move to the Paducah Recreation Center at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in the historic Fountain Avenue neighborhood in Paducah. The schedule for the event will remain the same — doors will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14; the Promise Garden Ceremony will begin at 10 a.m.; and the walk will follow.
The event was originally set for Bob Noble Park in Paducah.
Registration is still open for the walk. Visit the event page to register. The new venue is accessible for people who need special accommodations, the Alzheimer's Association said.
