Democratic Lt. Gov. Jacquelin Coleman attended several events throughout west Kentucky, filling in for Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear, who canceled his appearances at the last minute due to what Coleman described as a last-minute event. The substitution further fueled speculation that Beshear would become the Vice-Presidential pick for current Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, which began when President Joe Biden stepped down as the Democratic nominee around two weeks ago.

Starting July 16, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 1 will be establishing work zone lane restrictions along Interstate 24 at the 56 mile marker in Trigg County.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is closing KY 525/New Hope Road in southern Trigg County to begin constructing a new bridge at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 6. There will be no marked detours, and the target completion date for this project is May 31 of this year.
