MARSHALL COUNTY — A Paducah woman is seeking justice for her former husband after his shooting death, and asking anyone with information to "do the right thing and come forward."

"He would have helped anyone who needed help, and there are many people who can attest to the fact that he was a wonderful and sweet person with the best heart," Natalie Roberts Moore shared with WPSD on Monday morning.

She's still reeling from the death of her ex-husband and close friend, Jesse Moore.

Kentucky State Police said troopers found 44-year-old Jesse dead in his home in Possum Trot from an apparent gunshot wound after the US Forestry Service found his car abandoned in the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Foul play is suspected in his death.

"His absence left a huge hole in anyone’s life who knew him and he deserves justice for what was done to him," Natalie said. She's worried about the toll his death is taking on their families, including their daughter.

"He has a mother who has lost her child, a pain no one should have to go through. He has a sister who loved him dearly and misses her big brother who always protected her. He has a daughter who he loved the most out of anything in this world who is missing her daddy," she explained.

She also shared more about Jesse - saying he was a nature lover with a special passion for wildlife.

"He tried to educate people about snakes to help people be less afraid of them. He would teach people how to identify them. He saved so many snakes from being killed over the years. He would help people remove them from their property and release them back into the wild," she said.

Kentucky State Police Post 1 is investigating Jesse's death. Information leading to the arrest of indictment or a person or persons involved in his death may result in a reward of $1,000. Information can be shared anonymously through West Kentucky Crime Stoppers by texting WKY to 738477 or calling 270-444-TELL. Information can also be shared with KSP by calling 270-856-3721.

"We are begging anyone with any information that might be helpful to do the right thing and come forward and talk to the Kentucky State Police about what they know. No bit of information is too small. We just want justice for Jesse," Natalie said.
