HENRY COUNTY, TN — A 75-year-old man from Paris, Tennessee reportedly died in Kentucky Lake over the weekend.

According to a news release from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, they responded to a report of an unconscious man found in the water near a boat on Kentucky Lake. The report was made on Sunday, May 19 around 10 a.m.

The TWRA says the man was pulled from the water by a good Samaritan, and after extensive life-saving efforts by bystanders and Henry County EMS, the man, James David Heath, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henry County Coroner.

During their initial investigation, the TWRA determined that Heath, had launched his boat from the Springville Pumphouse boat ramp and somehow ended up in the water near Pleasant View Marina.
